Terms & conditions

Please read these terms before using the service. By using Media Extractor you agree to them.

Last updated: 31 October 2026

1. The service

Media Extractor is a free, browser-based tool that reads a public web page you specify (or HTML you paste), lists the media files that page uses, and lets you preview and download them. URL scans may be routed through third-party proxy services, which are outside our control. We may change, pause or discontinue any part of the service at any time.

2. Acceptable use

You agree to use the service only for lawful purposes. In particular, you must not use it to:

  • download, copy or redistribute content you don't own and have no licence or legal right to use;
  • attempt to access content behind logins, paywalls or technical protection measures such as DRM;
  • overload, scrape at scale or otherwise harm any website, including ours;
  • collect personal data about other people without a lawful basis;
  • resell or automate access to the service without our written permission.

3. Your responsibility for content

The media you download belongs to its owners, not to Media Extractor. You alone are responsible for making sure that your use of any file complies with copyright law, the licence of the content and the terms of the website it came from. A file being publicly visible does not mean it is free to reuse. See our guide on using web media legally.

We respect intellectual property rights. We don't host the media that the tool finds, but we respond to valid notices as described in our copyright & DMCA policy, including blocking domains on request of the rights holder.

5. Fair-use limits

Please use the tool at a human pace. Don't use it to send large numbers of automated requests to any website or proxy service. We may change features or block misuse to keep the service available for everyone.

6. No warranty

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We don't guarantee that it will find every file, that every download will succeed, or that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Media Extractor and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of the service or of content you download with it.

The service interacts with and links to websites we don't control. We are not responsible for their content, availability or policies.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer rights you may have where you live.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If you continue to use the service after a change, you accept the updated terms.
